Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo leads the distribution of Pamaskong Handog gift bags to residents of Barangay Pigcarangan in Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center, Tubod, on December 22, 2020.
Pamaskong Handog is an annual activity of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through the initiative of Governor Angging to share Noche Buena items to deserving residents of Barangay Pigcarangan in coordination with barangay officials.
Governor Angging urged the recipients to seriously practice and observe the minimum health protocols imposed by the government to curtail the COVID-19 positive cases and to contain the local transmission, and appealed to help the provincial government in reminding family members, neighbors, and friends to protect themselves when going to public places by wearing a face mask and face shield, wash hands frequently with soap and water or sanitize hands with alcohol, and always be mindful of the physical or social distancing.
Senior citizens are encouraged by Governor Angging to stay at home for they are the most vulnerable sector of society and also asked the parents not to allow their children, particularly the minors to roam around the community for their safety and protection of the family.
The health protocols and guidelines were crafted by the Inter-Agency Task Force as the basis of the Local Government Units when implementing measures in combating the COVID-19 and to protect the safety and health of the constituents.
Governor Angging emphasized the important role of the general public in defeating the COVID-19 pandemic. Cooperation and obedience of the people to the health protocols and guidelines of the government and supporting the effort of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will be an important factor to help end the health crisis.
Until such time COVID-19 vaccines are available, it is better to strictly adhere to and practice the minimum health standards of the national government.
On Christmas eve, Governor Angging suggested in celebrating the special moment, it is best to be with the family.
The Pamaskong Handog 2020 was spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office under the supervision of Ms. Annabelle S. Mendez. During the distribution, Governor Angging was joined by her son Mohammad Nazrollah (Naz) Quibranza Dimaporo in handing the gift bags to the recipients. PIO-LDN
