Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo is thankful to Atty. Noel K. Felongco, the Secretary of National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), for joining the Regional Inter-Agency Convergence towards Durable Peace and Inclusive Development in Lanao del Norte and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the stakeholders in celebration of the Mindanao Week of Peace with the theme, “Dialogue Towards Harmony” held in Family Beach Resort, Barangay Magoong, Municipality of Linamon, December 1, 2020.
Governor Angging strongly supports initiatives coming from the Local Government Units and Civil Society Organizations that promote peace and development, as well as unity amongst the people of the Province of Lanao del Norte, and encouraged the concerned stakeholders to work together as one in advancing the peoples’ welfare, regardless of creed, culture, and tradition.
In support of the Philippine Development Plan to reduce the incidence of poverty to 14% by 2022, and strengthening Executive Order 70, to end local communist armed conflict, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte along with the Municipal Mayors, Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Philippine Army, the Philippine National Police, other national line agencies such as TESDA, BFAR, DA, DTI, and with the active participation of Civil Society Organizations are gradually implementing programs, projects, and activities by adopting the Whole-of-Nation Approach to address and deliver basic social services to the community, especially to the least fortunate and impoverished sector of society.
The Provincial Chief Executive is looking forward to work closely with Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Member of the Parliament, Hon. Abdullah G. Macapaar, to discuss priority projects, especially in the Municipalities of Munai, Balo-i, Tagoloan, Nunungan, Pantar, and Tangcal, and to avert duplicity of projects.
Secretary Felongco, appreciates the commitment of Governor Angging in attaining the goal of reducing poverty incidence in Lanao del Norte by delivering the basic social services to the community and providing equal opportunity to all residents, especially in far-flung communities, in partnership with various national government agencies and civil society organizations.
