The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ms. Annabelle S. Mendez spearheaded the distribution of learning kits to children, including coloring books which feature the map of Lanao del Norte and various tourist attraction in the province plus Multivitamins and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) to boost the immune system.
 
Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo leads the distribution together with Municipal Mayor Rosa D. Olafsson at the Covered Court of Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Baroy on December 1, 2020.
Governor Angging reminded the parents and the Day Care Workers to be extra careful, especially when going to public places to always be mindful of the minimum health standards by wearing a face mask, face shield, wash hands regularly with soap, observe physical or social distancing, and disinfect hands with alcohol to keep the family safe from COVID-19. The Governor also thanked the Day Care Workers for the hard work, sacrifice, patience, and contribution in the learning process of the children.
 
1,870 Children’s Kit with Multivitamins and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) were handed over to the Day Care Centers of the Municipality of Baroy with the assistance of Ms. Ancleta Palma, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer.
 
Earlier on the day, the same activity took place in the Municipality of Sapad were 1,200 kits and Multivitamins and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) for children was given to the Day Care Workers. Vice Mayor Rudyrik B. Patalinghug attended the distribution on behalf of Mayor Paruk U. Asis together with Emilia Paler, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer.
 
Day Care Centers of other municipalities also received the same kits beginning November in line with the celebration of the 2020 Children’s Month with the theme, “Sama-samang Itaguyod Ang Karapatan ng Bawat Bata sa Panahon ng Pandemya!.”
 
According to Ms. Mendez, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 21,000 children aged 3 to 4 years old received the said kits and vitamins through the initiative of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo. PIO-LDN
