On November 25, 2020, Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo attends the Joint Session of the Sangguniang Bayans of Kolambugan and Tangcal held at Kolambugan Integrated Business Center, Poblacion, Municipality of Kolambugan.
The purpose of the Special Session is to strengthen the partnership between the two local government units in advancing the interest of their respective constituents by entering into a Memorandum of Agreement in line with the primary goal of Executive Order No. 70, issued by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in ending local communist armed conflict and at the same time creating an avenue to converge as one unit in building lasting peace and sustainable development.
Mayor Lorenzo V. Mañigos of the Municipality of Kolambugan and Mayor Fatima M. Tomawis of the Municipality of Tangcal with the concurrence of their respective Sangguniang Bayan Members collectively agreed and signed the Memorandum of Agreement creating and establishing an Inter-Local Government Cooperation for peace and development.
One of the building blocks that were agreed to harden the foundation of the alliance, is to collectively recognize organic agriculture and other ways of natural or regenerative agriculture.
Governor Angging greatly appreciates the gestures of both Local Chief Executives to preserve and protect the peace and development not only in their localities but in the entire Province of Lanao del Norte.
The Provincial Chief Executive highly emphasized the economic opportunities given by the national government under the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in the realization of one of the catalytic projects of the country, the Panguil Bay Bridge.
PBB Project will not only physically link the provinces of Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte, but also open new doors for economic opportunities, and a gateway for development and progress in Northern Mindanao.
Governor Angging, 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo, and the father of peace and development, 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, strongly support peace initiatives emanating from the local government units towards the achievement of sustainable development by nurturing unity amongst the people.

Atay, Col Charlemagne Batayola, representing BGen Facundo Palafox of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade, Police Major Nancy Bajolo, representing Provincial Director Police Col. Rolindo M. Suguilon, Lt Col Alfonso D.S. Matias, Jr, Commander of the 5th Mechanized Battalion, and DILG Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao, who helped facilitate in making this historical moment a success.
