The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through the Provincial Agriculture’s Office (PAO) spearheads the turnover of various projects and interventions from the Department of Agriculture and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources on November 24, 2020 at Municipal Civic Auditorium, Poblacion, Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.
 
These projects include: Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) 2020 interventions including COVID-19 response-machineries and equipment to 7 LGUs covered by SAAD, KADIWA grant for Paglingkawas Women’s Federation, Rice Program- Fertilizer Support to Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Inbred Seeds, RCEF Seed Component (inbred seed distribution) by PhilRice, Philippine Rural Development Project – Equipment and machinery for Abaca Fiber Consolidation, Processing and Marketing to Dulag Farmers Association (DuFA) from Iligan City, BFAR-Community Fish Landing Center to LGU Maigo, and Certificate of Commitment to MSU-Lanao del Norte Agricultural College (LNAC) and LGU Tubod – Small Ruminant Production under the Livestock Program Bayanihan Act II.
 
BFAR also recognized the Municipality of Bacolod as a Malinis at Masaganang Karagatan (MMK) National Awardee and had given the award to Mayor Judith V. Miquiabas. The active municipal leader thanked the DA, BFAR and the Provincial Governement of Lanao del Norte led by Gov. Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo for the unwavering support to the farmers and fisher folks of the province.
 
Secretary William Dar, the Department of Agriculture Secretary, in his speech, commended the efforts of Gov. Angging in always giving support to various agricultural programs of DA in order to help alleviate poverty among the marginalized sectors on agriculture and fishery amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The event was also attended by Regional Director Red Carlene C. Callado of DA-10 and Regional Director Teodoro A. Bacolod Jr of BFAR-10 who helped personally distribute the grants and projects to the beneficiaries.
 
The Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, with the help of Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo and the support of the two Congressional Districts of 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo, and the father of peace and development, 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, more projects and programs will be implemented for the benefit of the farmers and fisher folks, helping the agricultural and fishing communities to reach their potential, increasing farmers’ and fishermen’s incomes and improve their quality of life.
