The Provincial Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (PTESDC) convenes through video conferencing to discuss various programs of TESDA including scholarship programs for individuals to avail as measures of intervention for the COVID-19 crisis.
Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo thanked the provincial office of TESDA under the leadership of Provincial Director Noralaine R. Rasul, LPT, Ph.D. for continuously implementing the programs of the agency in the municipalities, despite the COVID-19 pandemic by strictly following the health protocols of the Department of Health and observance of the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force.
Providing technical and skills development training to constituents will be beneficial, especially to individuals who were affected during the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine and Returning Overseas Filipinos who lost their jobs due to the health crisis. The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte will always support the programs of TESDA in the province as an esteemed partner in advancing the welfare and best interest of the people of Lanao del Norte, Governor Angging said.
Technical and skills training on refrigeration and air conditioning repair and maintenance, electrical works, as well as baking can be sources of income or livelihood and access to such services will provide convenience to customers residing within their community.
Governor Angging also expressed her appreciation to Provincial Director Noralaine R. Rasul, for planning is to increase the number of TESDA accredited training centers in the Province of Lanao del Norte for the people to avail the various technical and skills development programs provided by TESDA, that can be used by individuals when applying for employment overseas.
Governor Angging also urged the barangay and municipal governments to work closely with TESDA and help establish training centers in their respective areas for the convenience and safety of their constituents.
Overall, the meeting discussed the Revised TESD Implementing Rules and Regulations, Roles and Responsibilities of PTESDC, Work plan of PTESDC, the TESD Development as of September 30, 2020, including the COVID-19 Interventions, Scholarship Program, Social Amelioration Programs: EO 70; EO 79; Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program; OFW Repatriation; Build, Build, Build program, and Conversion of Provisional Provincial Training Team (PPTT) to Provincial Training Center (PTC)-Lanao del Norte, Program Registration and Accreditation of Assessment Centers (ACs), and Enrollment, Graduates, Assessed and Certified.
The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte and the two Congressional Offices of 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo and the father of peace and development, 2nd District Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo and the support of the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan chaired by Vice Governor Maria Cristina ‘Cristy’ N. Atay are continuously finding ways to deliver government services that are viable to help alleviate the economic conditions of the people in partnership with various National Government Agencies, like TESD A.
