To support the implementation of community lockdown in the Municipality of Matungao, Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo immediately organized a joint distribution of food packs to the constituents spearheaded by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office in coordination with the Provincial Community Affairs Division and the Incident Management Team.

Governor Angging ensures that the Provincial Government provides assistance to the residents and augment the effort of the Municipal Government of Matungao, and to keep the general public safe and secure as the municipality is under community lockdown through Executive Order No. 25, Series of 2020, “AN ORDER PLACING THE ENTIRE MUNICIPALITY OF MATUNGAO ON LOCKDOWN TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 IN NEARBY MUNICIPALITIES DUE TO THE INCREASE OF THE NUMBER OF POSITIVE CASES IN THE SAID MUNICIPALITY AND THE NON-COOPERATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DETERMINED TO HAVE CLOSE CONTACT WITH PERSONS INFECTED OF COVID-19,” effective 12:01 am, August 15, 2020, until 11:59 pm, August 29, 2020.

Further, Executive Order 25, Series of 2020, is calling residents of the Municipality of Matungao to abide by the order and encouraged to cooperate with government employees and officials tasked to oversee the implementation of the lockdown.

Since the day the national health crisis was declared by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte due to COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Angging has continuously and actively established measures through the issuance of Executive Orders in line with the health protocols of the Department of Health and guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases, as well as provide necessary assistance to the municipalities in relation to the management of COVID-19.
