Executive Order 07, Series of 2020, has been issued by Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo on April 5, 2020, requiring all residents and non-residents of Lanao del Norte to wear a face mask at all times, especially when going out of their residences or in public places to help lessen the transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Governor Angging has seen the need to wear face masks or the likes that cover the mouth and nose of a person in accordance with the effort of the National Government to flatten the curve.

As data shows, the number of Persons under Investigation as well as the Persons under Monitoring in Lanao del Norte is gradually decreasing, and to help sustain this progressive, Governor Angging is calling all residents and non-residents of the province to religiously observe the wearing of face mask, an essential practice that everyone should comply.

The Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and other law enforcement agencies including those who are manning the Quarantine Checkpoints are tasked to strictly implement this Executive Order and will apprehend those who will violate or deny entry for those who are coming into the province or to their respective municipalities if such order is not followed.

The Provincial Chief Executive is doing the best she can and continuously find ways to protect the safety and health of the people of Lanao del Norte.

Wearing of face mask, and following other recommendations of the Department of Health to protect ourselves from acquiring this deadly virus is called upon for the interest of the citizens. And Governor Angging along with the call of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte tirelessly appeals to the people of Lanao del Norte to simply observe the ways on how to guard one’s self and the family against COVID-19.
