Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo on February 28, 2020, joined the Charter Induction Ceremony of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Lanao Greenfields and shared an inspirational message to the officers and members as well as to the visiting dignitaries witnessing the beginning of a new chapter for JCI in the Province of Lanao del Norte.
The Provincial Chief Executive, a former President of JCI Panguil Bay, encouraged JCI Lanao Greenfields to continuously initiate caring activities that give a greater impact on the lives of the people and in the community. Activities that are beneficial to the people, especially those who are in need of help, and said that believing in the principles of JCI is not enough unless it is converted into action. And this action is done not for one’s self-interest but driven to serve humanity, for Jaycees believed it is the best work of life.
Governor Angging emphasized the importance of collaboration between all sectors to attain sustainable peace and development. Civil, Business and the Government sectors should work hand-in-hand to identify the root causes of the problems faced by each community and provide viable solutions that are long-lasting.
Giving an example regarding the current approach of the National Government in dealing with terrorism and the CPP-NPA.
“Before, our Armed Forces of the Philippines single-handedly faced the CPP-NPA and have used its might to crush the rebellion. Today, through Executive Order No. 70, “Institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach in attaining Inclusive and Sustainable Peace, creating a National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, and Directing the Adoption of a National Peace Framework, meaning, the National Government is tapping all stakeholders, from the local government units, business sectors, and civil society organizations to work as one by sharing solutions in addressing the problems faced by the communities.”
And added that in Lanao del Norte, the Provincial Government is continuously building a good working relationship with the Municipal and Barangay Government Units, National Government Agencies and Civil Society Organizations for effective and efficient delivery of basic services and successful implementation of the programs of the government.
Before ending her message, Governor Angging reminded the newly inducted officers and members to unceasingly commit themselves in living up with the Values and Principles of JCI, and be innovative when dealing with the challenges, and continue to be motivated and passionate to extend a helping hand, especially to the least fortunate ones.
The Father of Peace and Development of Lanao del Norte, 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, accompanied Governor Angging delivered a resounding speech to the officers and members of JCI Lanao Greenfields and to the guests present at the venue.
