Through the School Board Fund, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte distributes building materials to the Barangays of Tambacon, Magsaysay; Waterfalls, Kapatagan; Pinid, Poona Piagapo; Simpak, Lala; Poblacion, Sapad; Raw-an, Lala; Matampay, Balo-i; Poblacion, Tubod; Bauyan, Sultan Naga Dimaporo; Masibay, Nunungan; and Campong, Pantar, for the construction of Community Learning Center (CLC) in support of the Alternative Learning System, as well as strengthening the programs of the National Government by providing quality basic education to all Filipinos.

Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo graced the activity and humbly expressed that as Local Chief Executive, it is within the bounds of her duty to allocate funds for the improvement of the education system under the SBF in coordination with the Department of Education-Division of Lanao del Norte.

Governor Angging was happy to hear that from 2013, the number of passers for the accreditation and equivalency (A&E) test has increased as reported by Education Program Supervisor Angelito D. Barazona, the ALS Focal Person.

EPSvr Barazona, said that ALS is for “The Least, The Lost, and The Last,” aiming to open educational opportunities to Filipinos with different interests, capabilities of demographic characteristics, socioeconomic origins and status including the marginalized sectors of society, particularly the out of school youths and adults, as well as special learners with difficulties, giving them the confidence and encouragement to participate in community development activities as responsible citizens.

The building materials will be utilized for the construction of Community Learning Center in the barangay to hold lectures instead of conducting it in open Multi-Purpose Hall or basketball court, under the shade of a tree, or even in one of the residences of the community.

Having a conducive CLC is one factor that would successfully implement the goals of ALS, thus to deliver quality education to all learners.

And when Governor Angging knew that the design of the CLC does not have a toilet, especially for the female learners, the Provincial Chief Executive offered to provide additional funding for the integration with the design of the building.

The hand-over of construction materials was supervised by the Provincial Planning and Development Office and the Provincial Government Services Office and participated by the Barangay Chairmen and Councilors of the recipient barangays, and some Sangguniang Bayan members were present to witness the activity at the Provincial Government Services Office-Warehouse Building within the compound of Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod on March 3, 2020.

Governor Angging said to the beneficiaries that the Provincial Government and the two Congressional District Offices of 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo, and 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo are closely working together for efficient and effective implementation of various programs of the national government for the welfare of the people, and appealed to include in the prayers the unity between all residents of the province, the Muslims and the Christians, for sustainable peace and development in the Province of Lanao del Norte. “The Land of Beauty and Bounty.” PIO-LDN
