Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo right after the Provincial Development Council Executive Meeting with 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo, Provincial Administrator Ms. Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo, and the Department Heads with DPWH representatives on February 20, 2020, at the Governor’s Conference Room in Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center, immediately proceeded to Lanao del Norte Provincial Hospital to lead the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of LNPH Canteen.

Governor Angging was delighted that the construction of the canteen will now become a reality after so many years due to budgetary constraints. LNPH personnel has longed for a canteen that is accessible and could serve nutritious food not only for the employees but also for the patients of the hospital.

The Governor informed the officers and personnel that Congressman Khalid has filed a Bill in the House of Representatives and now already in the Senate to convert LNPH into a Regional Hospital and will be managed by the National Government, and if it becomes a Law, additional equipment and facilities will be provided to cater a greater number of patients not only from Lanao del Norte but also from nearby provinces and cities.

As one of the pilot provinces of Universal Health Care, Governor Angging reminded the employees to always treat each patient with respect and dignity, and serve with sincerity and care.

Governor Angging then went to Barangay Poblacion of Baroy Municipality to graced the concreting of Baroy-Market Provincial Road.

Mayor Rosa Olafsson thanked the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Angging and the two Congressmen, 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo, and the “Father of Peace and Development” 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, for the unwavering support extended to the Municipality of Tubod.

The Provincial Chief Executive shared some details of what has been discussed at the PDC Executive Meeting with the DPWH representatives regarding the Panguil Bay Bridge and the road widening project. The PBB will be a two-lane bridge, a rotunda will be constructed in front of Gaisano Mall in anticipation of a higher volume of traffic, and to ease the flow of vehicles traversing the area, and moreover, the national highway from Linamon to Sultan Naga Dimaporo and Pagadian will be six (6) lanes.

Governor Angging expressed her gratitude to the residents of Barangay Poblacion and to the general populace of Baroy for staying united and the continuous trust in the leadership of the Quibranza-Dimaporo, especially in the last national and local elections, and during the Bangsamoro Organic Law Plebiscite.

And to stay true to her promise in providing support to our young athletes, particularly in the Sport of Archery, Governor Angging finally laid the capsule to begin the construction of Archery Building within the Mindanao Civic Center Sports Complex, Sagadan, Tubod.

The Governor humbly said that she and the two Congressmen of the 1st and 2nd District together with the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Maria Cristina ‘Cristy’ N.
