The Father of Peace and Development, and 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, was proud to see the 287 farmers of the Municipality of Tangcal completed the three (3) months of training in organic farming.

Congressman Abdullah, the visionary leader of Lanao del Norte, continuously initiates programs that help alleviate the lives of the people, and one of these is organic farming.

Organic farming is a method that uses no chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or even feeds livestock with additives. Aside from being a healthy and safe alternative to conventional farming, the products yield a higher price due to its quality.

The 287 participants coming from the 18 barangays of the municipality went through a series of training facilitated by the Provincial Agri-Tourism Consultant, Edelyn ‘Bulhing’ Dela Cruz and Marlon Ricolito in partnership with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), from plotting the garden to the application of organic concoctions and extracts that they have learned to produce as fertilizers, attractants, and pesticides.

Faisala Bato, the representative of TESDA Provincial Director El Cid H. Castillo, before officially confirming the graduates, she reminded them to continue practicing the methods learned during the training and use the acquired knowledge to improve their lives.

Tangcal Municipal Mayor, Honorable Fatima M. Tomawis, thanked Congressman Abdullah and Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo for the unwavering support extended to her municipality by pouring-in programs, projects, and activities for the benefit of the people.

Congressman Abdullah and Governor Angging expressed their appreciation to Honorable Tomawis for rallying behind the programs of the Office of the 2nd Congressional District and the Provincial Government and encouraged the graduates to organize and form a cooperative so that it can also avail financial assistance from the National Government to use for sustainability of the organic farming program in the Municipality of Tangcal.

Governor Angging is grateful that Congressman Abdullah initiated the program in the Municipality of Tangcal and assured the graduates that the Provincial Government is working closely with the office of the Congressman to ensure that the whole community benefits from the program.

The good Congressman of the 2nd District brought the Organic Farming Program in the Municipality of Tangcal in the hope of improving the lives of the people in partnership with the Municipal Government of Tangcal, Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Lanao del Norte Development Institute, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
