More than a thousand constituents from the different municipalities of the Province of Lanao del Norte converged at Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium, Sagadan, Tubod, to avail the services of the various national and provincial government agencies spearheaded by the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) and in partnership with the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte on November 26, 2019.

Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo warmly welcomes the officers and staff of PCUP and the national line agencies, and private sectors for extending assistance and providing free basic social services to the people of Lanao del Norte.

“Let me express my heartfelt gratitude to Honorable Alvin S. Feliciano, the Chairman and CEO of PCUP, represented today by Honorable Norman B. Baloro, the Supervising Commissioner for Mindanao and to PCUP family for bringing this program here in Lanao del Norte. This Caravan with the theme, “Pinagsama-samang Serbisyo, Para sa Tao!” it is a program created by the government under President Duterte’s administration for the people by gathering all frontline offices of the national government in partnership with the local government units in one roof to provide efficient and effective basic services, especially to those who are in need,” the Governor said.

On behalf of PCUP Chairman and CEO, Honorable Alvin S. Feliciano, Honorable Baloro, thanked the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte under the leadership of Governor Angging for actively working together with PCUP Mindanao through Ms. Cynthia B. Rosales, the Officer-in-Charge, for the success of the first-ever PCUP Caravan in Lanao del Norte.

The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte has its own version of this program, named “Alagang IQD: Especial Mass-Based Program” or commonly known as EMBP. This is a regular activity of the provincial government that was conceptualized and initiated by Governor Angging in order to provide basic services to the residents of the communities, particularly to remote areas, thus Bringing the Government Closer to the People.

The Governor also said in her message that the officers and employees of the provincial government are just an instrument to serve what is best for the constituents, and with the unity of the Muslims and Christians, more doors of opportunities will open for the people of Lanao del Norte.

The services received by the constituents, especially Senior Citizens are free reading glasses, Medical Check-up with take-home medicines and vitamins. The children were given multivitamins and polio vaccination for below 5 years of age. Other services offered are Dental Check-up, Hair Cut, Circumcision, Legal Consultation and Notary, assessment of documents for driver’s license, NBI clearance, Birth Certificate, and Marriage Contract, Job fair, to name a few.

Ms. Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo, the Provincial Administrator, despite her hectic schedule, made time to personally observe the flow of services by going around and make sure that people are properly accommodated.

Mayor Leoncio C. Bagol of the Municipality of Tubod was also present to show support to the activity.
