The Provincial Chief Executive of the Province of Lanao del Norte was welcomed by former Mayor of the Municipality of Balo-i, Datu Madid Elias L. Ali and Vice Mayor Mustapha M. Ali at the Municipal Complex in Barangay Nangka on August 1, 2019.
Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo in her message thanked the former Mayor and the incumbent Mayor, Honorable Hanifa Ali (on Hajj) for inviting her to join the culmination through the Provincial Administrator, Ms. Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo, and expressed her appreciation and gratitude to the leaders and the people of the municipality for believing on TEAM QUIBRANZA DIMAPORO and in her capacity to administer the entire Province of Lanao del Norte.
“Yes it is true, that before we were separated because of politics. There are times that your friends will become your enemy, and your enemies will become your friends, and that is politics. But what I hate most about politics is when families will break apart just because of politics, and eventually affect the basic services of the local government that is due to the people. But today, I am happy that I am here celebrating with you, I am happy that Mayor Hanifa and I have patch things-up, I am happy that they supported my candidacy and my administration,” the Governor sincerely said.
Governor Angging and the two District Representatives, 1st District Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo and 2nd District Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo work tirelessly to sustain the harmonious relationship of the Muslim and Christian residents of the province by engaging closely with the Municipal Mayors. Unity is the primary factor that drive towards achieving sustainable peace and prosperity, which is also the theme of the Municipality’s Founding Anniversary-“Unity towards achieving sustainable peace and prosperity.”
The Provincial Chief Executive also commend the effort of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in maintaining and safeguarding the people and the province through LTC Bernardo Taqueban, Commanding Officer of the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, and the leadership of Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao of the Department of the Interior and Local Government for actively monitoring as well as providing necessary assistance to the Local Government Units in the province.
The Governor also disclosed that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the establishment of a Freshwater Multi-Species Hatchery in the Municipality of Balo-i worth P47M and additional livelihood for the people of Lanao del Norte.
Right after the culmination program, Governor Angging was invited by Datu Madid Elias L. Ali to watch the exhibition game of the country’s top women tennis players, Marian Jade Capadocia (rank 1) and Anna Clarice Patrimonio (rank 2) for the 1st Invitational Open Tennis Tournament held at Datu Timbul Ali Sports Complex, Barangay West Poblacion.
