The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte holds the 10th Provincial Volunteer Health Workers Congress (PVHW), where thousands of volunteers from the different municipalities joined the annual gathering at the gymnasium of the Mindanao Civic Center Sports Complex, Sagadan, Municipality of Tubod on April 16, 2019.
The PVHWs are the frontline volunteers of the provincial government that help implement the programs in the communities, particularly with regards to health and social welfare of the people.
It was in 2009 at the time of 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo when he was then the Governor of the province that the Provincial Volunteer Health Workers was created. This is to form volunteer workers that report directly to the provincial government the health and social concerns of their respective communities.
To make this annual gathering memorable and exciting for the hardworking PVWHs, the provincial government through Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo invited the son of Senatorial candidate Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla, Jr. and incumbent Vice Governor of the Province of Cavite, Honorable Ramon ‘Jolo’ Revilla III to share inspirational words and his experiences of being a public servant.
Vice Governor Revilla was amazed of how active the PVHWs of Lanao del Norte are in helping the provincial government promotes good health and welfare of the people in the community. With this, the Vice Governor of Cavite promised that if given a chance that his father, former Senator Bong Revilla will win in this election, Lanao del Norte will be one of their priority provinces to help sustain the various programs of the provincial government.
According to Congressman Khalid, former Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla, Jr. during his term has helped the provincial government fund its various programs in promoting the general welfare of the people.
2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, the Father of Peace and Development, urges the volunteers to remember those senatorial candidates who have considered the people of Lanao del Norte as their friend and contributed to the progress and development of the province.
