The Department Heads of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte comprising the team of Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS) and other concern Offices for the Seal of Good Local Governance with the Philippine National Police met with the Officers of the Department of the Interior and Local Government – Lanao del Norte headed by Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao and Cluster Head Ms. Mary Jane Y. Quibranza on February 18, 2019 to discuss the SGLG Government Assessment Report for the year 2018 at the Provincial Administrator’s Office in Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center, Pigcarangan, Municipality of Tubod.
Ms. Quibranza presented the 2018 unmet parameters of the provincial government and thoroughly discussed each item to the body in order to provide as well as to prepare the necessary requirements needed by the concern offices before the SGLG assessment for the year 2019.
GAR stands as a reference to where the local government units will improve its performance in the different areas base on the assessment of the previous year.
The meeting was to provide essential information on what areas needed attention and require reinforcement for compliance.
DILG Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao has appealed to each concern head of offices to strengthen their role by seriously supporting the effort of the provincial government in meeting all the criteria and indicators for the Seal of Good Local Governance 2019 assessment.
Provincial Administrator, Ms. Brigida S. Tañgonan together with the department heads has expressed their commitment to pursue the goal of becoming an SGLG Awardee for the year 2019 by complying the necessary requirements and providing especial attention to the unmet parameters of the previous year.
Becoming a recipient of SGLG provides an opportunity for the province to avail additional budget to fund other priority projects or programs through the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF).
Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo is strongly behind all the effort to be name an awardee for SGLG 2019 and hopes that this year the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte will be recognized. PIO-LDN
