Paskuhan sa Lanao del Norte was officially launched by Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo on the evening of December 7, 2018 in Agora, Sagadan, Municipality of Tubod. The Provincial Chief Executive personally expressed her gratitude to the people who have come to celebrate the opening for this Christmas season.
“Paskuhan sa Lanao del Norte is done every year to celebrate the Spirit of Christmas and commemorate the unity amongst the Muslims and Christians who have live harmoniously with each other for years, and Christmas is a time that families can bond together.” It is a month-long festivity in which various activities have been prepared by the Provincial Government for the residents to enjoy and a time for families and friends to bond together within the area of Mindanao Civic Center Sports Complex.
Governor Angging accompanied by the visionary leader of the province, 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, thanked the Armed Forces of the Philippines through Brigadier General Thomas R Sedano, Jr and Lt Col Ronel R Manalo for keeping Lanao del Norte safe and secure together with the Provincial Philippine National Police under the command of PSSupt. Leopoldo E. Cabanag.
“Without these men in uniform we could not sleep well at night, we will not be here in order to celebrate as one people of Lanao del Norte, we will not be able to sustain the development that has come to our beloved province. It is proper to give our thanks for their sacrifice in keeping us safe. That is why we support the extension of Martial Law. Our Sangguniang Panlalawigan came up with a Resolution expressing support for the extension of Martial Law in Lanao del Norte.”
Vice Governor Maria Cristina N. Atay together with the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, the Department Heads and employees of the provincial government, and Mayor Marcos Mamai of the Municipality of Nunungan were present to join as one family in commemorating the annual merry making that will culminate on January 6, 2019, spearheaded by the Provincial Government through the Tourism Operations Division for the people of Lanao del Norte, “The Land of Beauty and Bounty.” PIO-LDN
