Municipal and Barangay officials have gathered inside the Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium, Sagadan, Municipality of Tubod for a meeting to discuss and exchange ideas that are essential in shaping the future of the province towards development and prosperity, and to hear straight from the man himself, confidant and presidential aide, former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ T. Go on November 21, 2018.

Thousands of public officials listened to the words of Mr. Go as he shared some of his personal insights on the key roles of elected government officials for good governance in their localities.

According to him, as elected officials it is the best interest of the people that should always be the primary concern and the catalyst to continuously serve the general public.

President Rodrigo R. Duterte has constantly reminded him and other cabinet members to never engage in corruption for even just a hint, the President will immediately act on the matter after thorough investigation, as he did before.

Bong Go as a true friend of President Duterte, he strongly support the campaigns of the administration particularly against illegal drugs, corruption and fighting extremism as well as creating programs that will help alleviate the economic conditions of the people.

One of his advocacies is to strengthen the health services of the government to which he has conceptualized the ‘Malasakit Center.’ This is a one stop-shop center that will house all concern agencies of the government that are mandated to provide medical and financial assistance to citizens, like the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health and others. The reason behind the program is to quickly address the concern and reduce the time and effort of an individual by moving from one office to another in asking for assistance in which it can be done in one setting. And not to mention the money spent each day just to visit these offices.

The visit of Mr. Bong Go was also in time in celebration of the 69th Birthday of 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo who has selflessly serve the people of Lanao del Norte and key instrument in sustaining the peace and order of the province.

Ms. Lani Mercado Revilla, the Honorable Mayor of Bacoor City and wife of Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr., close friend of the Quibranza-Dimaporo family was also in town to join the celebration and personally greet Congressman Bobby.

The former SAP expressed his appreciation to the leadership and good governance of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo, 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo and 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo that for years have committed to bring-in more development and implementing sustainable programs by partnering with various national government agencies, non-governmental organizations and other private groups as well as with civil organizations for the well-being of the people of the Province of Lanao del Norte, “The Land of Beauty and Bounty.” PIO-LDN
