Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo graced the “Turn-Over of Land and Ground Breaking Ceremonies” of DOVE (Dalama Love and Hope) Village in Barangay Dalama, Municipality of Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
Governor Angging together with Mayor Leoncio C. Bagol and Barangay Chairmen of Tubod Municipality, Provincial Director Bruce A. Colao of the Department of the Interior and Local Government with LTC Ronel R. Manalo, Commanding Officer of 5th Mechanized Brigade gathered at the site to show support and solidarity to the people of Barangay Dalama, who have suffered tremendously when Typhoon Vinta struck the province last December of 2017.
In her speech, the Provincial Chief Executive had pledged in front of the residents and local officials that the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte along with its employees will help build houses in the community for the victims of the typhoon.
“I will organize the employees of the Provincial Government to voluntarily build houses here (DOVE) and assist the municipal local government of Tubod in its effort to provide decent house that is safe, comfortable and stable for you and your family,” Governor Angging said.
Survivors of Typhoon Vinta in Barangay Dalama are given the opportunity to build their own house through the strong collaborative effort between the Municipal Government of Tubod and the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, National Government Agencies like the Office of Civil Defense, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government.
Before ending her message, Governor Angging expressed that the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte together with the Offices of 1st District Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo and 2nd District Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo is at all times ready to extend assistance to the people of Dalama and to other victims of the typhoon in the province.
