In consonance to the marching order of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte of his campaign against illegal drugs, the Provincial Police Office of Lanao del Norte recognized the efforts of 14 Municipal Mayors and 73 Barangay Chairmen for actively rallying behind the aspiration of the President to eliminate the proliferation of illicit drugs in the communities during the “23rd Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Culmination Program and Awarding of Drug Cleared Barangay’ on July 30, 2018 held at Camp Major Eduardo J. Gallego, Pigcarangan, Municipality of Tubod.

Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo leads the culmination and awarding ceremony on the theme, “Tapat na Serbisyo at Paglilingkod ng Kapulisan Kaagapay ang Mamayan, Hatid ay Kaunlaran.”

The Provincial Chief Executive expressed gladness that the PNP and the Barangays are actively working together to address these social issue that greatly affects the family, the community and the nation. The Governor was proud of the achievements of the municipalities and the barangays that were recognized in the program.

“The administration of President Duterte effectively brought positive change in the communities in which the general populace has deeply appreciated. The programs of our President in combating these illegal activities need our support. I call upon the local chief executives to help sustain the programs of the national government. We are lucky to have a President who is from Mindanao. All he is trying to do is to make our country a better place for all of us. Now, I challenged the Municipal Mayors to work overtime and make all your barangays drug-free,” Governor Angging said.

Governor Angging together with PSSupt Leopoldo E Cabanag, PNP Provincial Director and Department of the Interior and Local Government Provincial Director, Bruce A Colao personally handed the award to 14 Municipal Mayors and 73 Barangay Chairmen of the Province and to two outstanding Police Officers for building strong relationship with their communities. Also recognized in the program; Most Supportive Private Individual, Most Supportive Local Government and Outstanding BPAT (Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team) PIO LDN
