In celebration of the 59th Araw ng Lanao del Norte, Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo leads the provincial employees in commemorating the Provincial Environment Day together with the Honourable members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Maria Cristina N. Atay in Mt. Torong-Torong, Barangay Kakai, Municipality of Tubod.

Officials from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Department of Environment and Natural Resources-PENRO, Mines & Geosciences Bureau 10, Provincial Agricultural & Fishery Council, MSU-LNAC, LGU-Linamon, Universal Peace Federation, SK Federated President Dhalia E. Cristobal, Barangay Captain Abedin Diego, Philippine Eagles, Alpha Eta Upsilon, Karancho, to name a few who have attended the activity. Mayor Mighty Dimakuta of Tagoloan Municipality was also in attendance for the celebration.

MGen Ronald C. Villanueva and LTC Ronel R. Manalo received plaques of appreciation from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte together Provincial PNP Director, Leopoldo E. Cabanag for their invaluable support and assistance extended to the overall peace and order, development programs of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte. Schools Division Superintendent, Roy E. Gazo also received the same accolade for his exceptional quality of leadership, competence, integrity and dedication in providing quality education in the province.

Governor Angging reminds the government employees to be advocates for the environment. Lanao del Norte has been known as “The Land of Beauty and Bounty’ for its picturesque landscape and fertile soil producing agricultural and fishery products, the primary source of the economy. “Protecting the environment today is ensuring a healthy environment tomorrow to which our children will benefit from our good deeds today. We should be sincere in taking care of our environment, taking care of the nature is taking care of ourselves.”
