Lanao del Norte Provincial Government joins the nation in commemorating the 120th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence. Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo leads the Celebration of Philippine Independence Day at Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center in Pigcarangan, Tubod on June 12, 2018.
More than a hundred employees of the Provincial Government along with Vice Governor Maria Cristina N. Atay together with the Honorable Board Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and their staff proudly stood and sang the National Anthem as the Philippine Flag was slowly hoist up the flagpole.
Governor Angging was happy to see the great number of employees and elected Officials participated in the motorcade from Mindanao Civic Center Sports Complex towards the Provincial Capitol where the Flag raising ceremony was held.
Though it was declared a National Holiday, the employees and elected Officials prepared much earlier than the usual working day to join-in with the activity. The assembly time for the motorcade was 7 o’clock in the morning and it began on time traversing the national highway heading to Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center.
Governor Angging and Provincial Administrator, Brigida S. Tañgonan expected that there will only be closer to 50 employees who will come and participate in the motorcade and the flag raising ceremony but it turns out that the area fronting the Provincial Capitol was filled with more than a hundred employees coming from the different departments and offices of the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte including the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
The Provincial Chief Executive was also proud to mention during her message that the people of Lanao del Norte believes in the leadership of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and supports all of its decision for the betterment of the Country, our beloved Republic of the Philippines. PIO-LDN
