
Employees of the Provincial Government heartily rendered service for the students of Lanao del Norte during the Brigada Eskwela on June 1, 2018. Eight elementary schools were simultaneously visited by employees composed of different offices represented by coloured teams.
Days before the scheduled activity, Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo on May 30, 2018, went to Guillermo A. Gimeno Elementary School (Former Titunod Elementary School) in Barangay Titunod, Municipality of Kolambugan to personally state her commitment in behalf of the Provincial Government in its own humble way in supporting all the programs and activities of the Department of Education in Lanao del Norte.
Kolambugan Municipal Mayor Lorenzo V. Manigos thanked Governor Angging for the support extended by the Provincial Government to his Municipality especially after typhoon Vinta where thousands of displaced persons received assistance and donations through the leadership and initiative of the Provincial Governor.
Schools Division Superintendent Roy Angelo E. Gazo accompanied the Provincial Chief Executive and expressed his gratitude to Governor Angging in front of the teachers, students and parents for the continuous support received from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte.
SDS Gazo proudly mentioned in the activity the passion and drive of Governor Angging to serve the people, as what he have seen right after typhoon Vinta. The selfless service of Governor Angging setting aside personal events especially on Christmas holidays just to serve the constituents cannot be left unnoticed.
Also on this day, Governor Angging handed over 45 pieces of Classroom Chairs to School Principal Olivia Agpasa to replace the damaged and destroyed chairs when Tropical Storm Vinta hit the province on December 22, 2017. These 45 chairs are part of the 600 chairs equally distributed to different elementary schools of the province.
Governor Angging hopes that the chairs will serve the students and make them feel comfortable during classes and the classrooms be suitable for learning, and added that she will visit the school again right after the celebration of Araw ng Lanao del Norte to address other concern of the school.
The Brigada Eskwela Program of the Department of Education brings out the Spirit of Volunteerism as will it strengthens the relationship of the participants in doing community service in achieving a common goal for the good of the students and the youth in general.
Eight teams of the Provincial Government represented by different colours took off at the same time from its rally point at Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center ready to render noble service to their assigned elementary schools by cleaning, painting, repairing and arranging the classroom before the opening of classes on June 4, a humble gesture of the provincial employees in support to the program of the Department of Education.
The Schools identified by DepEd for Brigada Eskwela are: Guillermo A. Gimeno Elementary School in Kolambugan, Esperanza Elementary School in Bacolod, Panoloon Elementary School in Sapad, Teofilo Morales Sr. Memorial Elementary School in Tubod, Curvada Elementary School in Kapatagan, Maliwanag Elementary School in Baroy, Sta. Cruz Elementary School in Maigo, and Maranding Elementary School in Lala. PIO-LDN
