Agencies for its seminars and forums such as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) during the Forum on Government Programs and Services for the Micro, Small and Medium (Coop) Enterprises cum Financing and one on one Consultation.
In line with the war on drugs campaign of our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the Provincial Cooperative Office in partnership with the CDA provides assistance for the re-integration of the Drug surrenderees who graduated in the Community Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) through the creation of their cooperatives, the PCO hasj ust recently helped the Municipality of Magsaysay in its CBRP and will continue on to the Municipalities of Kolambugan and Kauswagan.
The Office also provides Community Livelihood Assistance Program (CLAP) to the Micro Cooperatives of the province to help them grow and earn more income, active and flourishing Micro Cooperatives that have benefitted from the CLAP will be awarded this coming July 3, “People’s Day” 2018 during the celebration of Araw ng Lanao.
As of December 2017 there have been 137 active and participative Cooperatives compared to 2016’s 122, these coops continuously submit the Annual Mandatory Report to prevent dissolution. The increase of Cooperatives in the province is the result of the strong and continuous support of Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo along with 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid QuibranzaDimaporo and 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah “Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo through the Quibranza-Dimaporo Initiative.
