In its vision to make Lanao del Norte a competitive province in the field sports, the Provincial Government through the effort of Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo actively collaborates with the Department of Education-LDN to support the Special Program in Sports of Lanao del Norte National Comprehensive High School, the only school in the province that offers the program to which it identify, discover and develop students with potential talent in sports and hone their skills for higher level of athletic competitions.

Governor Angging together with Schools Division Superintendent Roy Angelo E. Gazo personally handed over sports equipments to LNNCHS Secondary School Principal Letecia H. Lagura on April 27, 2018 at Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center. The sports equipments includes for Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Baseball, Sepak Takraw, Softball, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Basketball, Football, Futsal, Gymnastics, Tennis, Volleyball, Weight Training as well as First Aid and Safety Kits including Stretchers, Backboards, and CPR Manequins.

The SPS program of the Department of Education as well envisioned to equipped graduates for employment or higher learning in the field of sports and related areas.

In 2014 LNNCHS has been awarded as the best implementing school in Region 10. The school has participated in the different regional and national competitions and produced athletes who excel in the national competitions.

And moments after, Governor Angging had a chance to see the school chairs presented by SDS Gazo to be distributed to schools heavily affected by Tropical Storm Vinta. SDS Gazo plans to deliver these school chairs in time of the Brigada Eskwela in the presence of the Provincial Governor.

The schools that will received these school chairs are; Don Juan Diaz MES, Kapatagan CES, Maranding ES, Padianan ES, Maigo CES, FV Bond, Dalama IS, Lala NHS, Maranding CES, ROBOCON ES, Panoloon ES, Miguel Esmade MES and Guillermo Gemino ES. PIO-LDN
