2nd District Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo and the Provincial Agriculture Office in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture-10 launched the “Go Negosyo, Kapatid Agri-Mentor Me Program (KAMP-ME),” a total of 31 participants composed of Municipal Agriculturists, members of Cooperatives and Farmer’s Associations joined the activity held at the Provincial Agriculture Training Center on March 13, 2018.
The “Go Negosyo, Kapatid Agri-Mentor Me Program (KAMP-ME),” is a four day learning and development activity, which was developed by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship Foundation, Inc-Go Negosyo (PCE-Go Negosyo). The program is designed to optimize industry clustering and market linkages to achieve enterprise development. The program’s main objective is to help farmers sustain and scale up their farming business.
In the training, the Speaker, Ms. Deborah Castillo, PCE-Go Kapatid Mentor Me, heats up the activity by stimulating and encouraging participants to think like an entrepreneur where one is often drawn to opportunities, innovation and new value creation in the agricultural scene making them “Agri-Preneurs” (Agricultural Entrepreneurs).
According to Atty. Donato Calica, Inclusive Growth Plan Consultant, represented Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, “PCE-Go Negosyo has the modules and group of technical experts whose subject areas are delivered by its pool of mentors, and they are either farm owners or agri-practitioners with extensive experiences on each subject matter to teach the participants.”
The participants will be introduced to 8 Modules of the program during the 4 day training, which includes, Entrepreneurial Mind Setting, Marketing Management, Simple Accounting, Financial Management, Farm Operations Management, Agri Supply and Value Chain, Obligations and Contracts and lastly Simple Business Plan Development.
2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo closely works with the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte through the Provincial Agriculture Office by actively creating more opportunities for the agricultural sector of the province. The training aims to step up the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to help address poverty and empowers these entrepreneurs by equipping them with enough knowledge and skills to be more competitive, and contribute to the growth of the local economy by generating more income and job opportunities for the people of Lanao del Norte, “The Land of Beauty and Bounty.” PIO-LDN
