Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo gives priority to education, science and technology, arts culture and sports in the Province of Lanao del Norte. The Governor consistent with its purpose, personally turned-over essential school equipments to newly appointed Schools Division Superintendent, Roy Angelo E. Gazo during the 1st Provincial School Board Meeting for 2018 last February 2 in the Governor’s Conference Room at Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza Provincial Government Center in Pigcarangan, Tubod. The handover was witnessed by OIC-Assistant Division Superintendent, Mary Ann M. Allera, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member, Honorable Marivic Ramos, Chairperson, Committee on Education.

In its aspiration to improve the quality of education in the province, Governor Angging, 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo and 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo recognize the importance of education and establish mutual partnership with the Department of Education by providing adequate assistance to help prepare and enhance the knowledge and skills of students especially the Senior High School.

According to Jubelle Dianne S. Mendez of the Provincial Planning Division Office, the equipments that the Provincial Government provided to DepEd-LDN are; Audio Visual Equipments, Flat-screen TVs, Beakers, Microscopes, Detachable Organ System Models, and other tools for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or (STEM), as well as equipments for Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) like Burner Gas Range with Oven, Welding Machines, Portable Disc Grinders, Wheel Barrows, Rice Threshers, Flat Irons, Electric Sewing Machines, Compressor with Spray Guns, Electric Drills, Digging Blades, Plankton Nets and other necessary tools needed for TVL. The total cost of all equipments amounts to P9 million and charged to the Special Education Fund.

The School Division Superintendent was happy to receive the items in behalf of the Department of Education and expressed his gratitude to Governor Angging for the unwavering support extended to DepEd-LDN in improving and enhancing the quality of education for the youth of the province.

Governor Angging is confident that these equipments will aid the teachers in providing effective learning to students in advancing their knowledge and skills in preparation for their future particularly when seeking employmen.

The handing over of school equipments is in support of the Provincial Government to the K-12 Program of the Department of Education, which offers three specialization courses in Academic, Sports & Arts, and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood for Senior High Schools. PIO-LDN
