The Orientation and Writeshop Training for Dynamic Learning Program in the Province of Lanao del successfully trained 30 public school teachers who are now capable in implementing the teaching strategies of DLP. The training marks the end of Phase 1 of this program and the teachers are expected to commence Phase 2 for the practical application inside the classrooms very soon. The Orientation and Writeshop lasted three days from January 22 to 24 of 2018 at Macapagal Training Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod.

The Schools included in the DLP Training are Linamon National High School, Lala National High School, Panoloon National High School, Diego Patigayon National High School, Sultan Ali Dimaporo Memorial Integrated School and Magsaysay National High School. School Division Superintendent, Roy Angelo E. Gazo graced the culmination along with Inclusive Growth Plan Consultant, Atty. Donato Calica represented the Offices of 2nd and 1st Congressional Districts on behalf of Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo and Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo, and Provincial Administrator Brigida S. Tañgonan stood for Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo.

Leading Resource Speaker Professor Anita Tagadiad from Ateneo de Zamboanga University highlighted the vision of DLP which is to make the students become   critical thinkers to promote self-learning and the  challenge is now with the teachers on how to create or design learning activities in such a way students will appreciate and be motivated when implemented.

“Our vision is really for the students to become self-regulated, independent and self-propelled in terms of learning difficulties which mean that if they find themselves having some difficulty in understanding some concept notes we are hoping that the students will find ways and means on how to resolve that difficulty,” Professor Tagadiad explains to the teachers.

SDS Roy Gazo is thankful to the efforts of 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo, 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza-Dimaporo and Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo for bringing-in SMART Foundation Inc. in Lanao del Norte in supporting the schools of the province in modifying ways of teaching that would improve the students learning and retention abilities through application of non-traditional methods of teachings.

“The Dynamic Learning Program is not new in our education system although we have designed all of this but we need a push and that push is coming from our Honorable Congressmen, coming from our Honorable Governor and that is why we are very appreciative to all of this,” expressed SDS Gazo.

The programme of 2nd District Representative, Congressman Abdullah ‘Bobby’ Dimakuta Dimaporo in strengthening the education system of the province has always been supported by Provincial Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza-Dimaporo and 1st District Representative, Congressman Mohamad Khalid Quibranza-Dimaporo.
